Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha, where you are transferred to your lodge. Depending on arrival time, relax at the lodge or explore Arusha town. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. Enjoy an afternoon game drive along the Tarangire River, spotting lions, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests. Dinner and overnight at a lodge or camp near the park.
Day 3: Tarangire – Lake Manyara National Park
Drive to Lake Manyara National Park after breakfast. Enjoy a full-day game drive exploring the forest, open plains, and lakeshore, home to tree-climbing lions, flamingos, elephants, and buffaloes. Dinner and overnight at a lodge in Karatu or nearby.
Day 4: Lake Manyara – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro highlands. Upon arrival, embark on an afternoon game drive, spotting lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, and large herds of wildebeests and zebras. Dinner and overnight at your lodge or tented camp in Serengeti.
Day 5: Full Day in Serengeti National Park
A full day of game drives in the Serengeti, starting with an early morning drive when wildlife is most active. Enjoy breakfast, relax, and continue afternoon game viewing. Depending on the season, you may witness the Great Migration. Dinner and overnight in Serengeti.
Day 6: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After a morning game drive in Serengeti, depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy scenic views of the highlands before checking into your lodge on the crater rim. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha – Zanzibar
After an early breakfast, descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive, spotting the Big Five, hippos, flamingos, and other wildlife. After the game drive, ascend and drive back to Arusha for a domestic flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, transfer to your beach resort. Dinner and overnight in Zanzibar.
Day 8: Zanzibar Beach & Stone Town
Spend the day relaxing on Zanzibar’s white sandy beaches or enjoying water activities such as snorkeling, diving, or a spice farm tour. Optional half-day tour of historic Stone Town can be included to explore its cultural heritage, markets, and architecture. Dinner and overnight at your beach resort.
Day 9: Departure from Zanzibar
After breakfast, enjoy some final beach time before transfer to Zanzibar Airport for your departure flight. Your 9-day adventure concludes with unforgettable memories of Tanzania’s wildlife and Zanzibar’s tropical paradise.
