Day trip to Arusha National Park
Arusha National Park is 30 km north of Arusha city and offers good views of neighboring Kilimanjaro. The Arusha National Park is ideal for a „one-day safari“, as it is one of the smallest national parks in Tanzania with its 552 km2. Nevertheless, the scenic and diverse park offers a wide range of animal and plant species. Between 1,500 m and 4,566 m above sea level are steppes, jungle and high mountains.
At 8 am, your safari driver guide will pick you up at hotel with picnic lunches and drive to Arusha National Park. Enjoy a game drive at the park. Arusha National Park is a gem of varied ecosystems and spectacular views of Mt. Meru, the crater that gives the region its name. The small national park includes the slopes, summit, and ash cone of Mt. Meru, the Momela Lakes, Ngurdoto Crater, and the lush highland forests that blanket its lower slopes. Game viewing around the Momela Lakes is at a laid-back and quiet place, and while passing through the forest many visitors stop to search for troupes of rare colubus monkeys playing in the canopy , Buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes, warthogs, zebras and baboons can be seen all year round as well as many different bird species.
